My exwife took money from a joint bank account without my permission. Can I sue her
My ex wife took money from a joint checking account we had while we were married. I still had the account because I had it for 30 years, she had her own account once we divorced.
We were divorced for 1 1/2 yrs, she was no longer putting money into account, and hadn't taken money out in the 1 1/2 yrs.
I was a week late on child support and she went and took all the money, except one cent, from my account.
Can I press charges against her

Not if it was a joint account you can't. Open up a new account in your name only and use that for all of your finances from here on out.

You made a mistake by not talking her off the account. As long as she was listed as an owner she had access to the money. So there was no criminal action here and nothing to press charges about.

You MIGHT be able to sue her for taking money over and above what you owed for support.

I doubt you can even sue her, with her name on the account, she has as much right to the money as you do.
