Im hopeing someone can help me I got a ticket a while ago for not having proof of insurance I live in Michigan and if you get a ticket you have to pay a drivers responsibility ticket of $200 for the next 2 years I recently moved and the mail got lost somewhere so I didn't know my license were suspended until today when I got pulled over and arrested now I'm going right away in the morning an hour away from here to pay these tickets off and get my license back but this was an honest mistake of not knowing if I would have known I would have paid it right away not like I'm hard up on the money but I really don't want a misdemeanor on my record I have never been in trouble before in my life if anyone knows anything please help my friend also told me to plea not guilty since I didn't know I was committing a crime is that true? Should I do that?
