Single fused feed for 4 480v heating AC units
In the factory where I work as a facility maint. Person we have found 4 heating/AC units rated at 480v 60A that are all fed by the same 480v bus plug with 3 100A fuses. I think there needs to be a breaker panel installed which is fed by the bus plug and then each unit put on its own 60A breaker. My boss disagrees with me. Is this safe? How do you think it should be done?
