    How to you prevent ice cubes from sticking together up
    In the automatic ice maker basket.

    Does a freezer have a defrosting unit, like a refrigerator.
    How does a freezer maintain the same temperature with
    A defroster?

    Yes your freezer has a defrost cycle. It last only a few moments to defrost the air and not the food. It does however allow the cubes to melt ever so slightly and then they freeze together. Don't know of a cure for cubes freezing together.

    The Ice cubes are very cold when they get ejected from the forming try. The defrost element is in the very back of the fridge and the heat produced never really makes it to the actual icebox. The ice cubes never get close to 32 degrees. It has been about 10 years since I fixed frost free fridges but I think the tray had to be something like 10 degrees before the rotor would start to push them out. There is also so many ways ice cubes can be made it is not funny.
