Refrigerator Quit
My GE "GTS18HCMERWW" Refrigerator quit cooling and the fan still works. I have removed the overload protector and capacitor. The overload protector has a small disk inside it and it is shattered. That part is obviously bad. I would replace the capacitor at the same time I replace the overload protector. My question is: Is there a way to test the compressor to make certain that it is not the cause of the overload protector failure. The protector and capacitor combined are less than 40 bucks. The compressor on the other hand would be a game changer and require for me to get a new refer. Any help would be appreciated.
