    Car does not go in reverse or drive?
    HI I have a 2001 honda oddysey van and when the gear lever stays in park mode it does not go in reverse or drive does not move at all
    Please advice what needs to be done

    If it requires stepping on the brake to move out of park, check for a short in a safety switch under the pedal? (just a guess)

I purchased a JD LA115 riding mower in June of 2008. It only has 16 hours on it and it will not go in forward or reverse. The mower has the hydrostatic drive and there is no pressure when you mash on the forward or reverse pedals. There was also a lot of oil underneath the transaxle.
