Am I bondable? I received a DUI in Nevada back in Oct 2009.
Am I bondable? I received a DUI in Nevada back in Oct 2009. I am a CA resident so my driver’s license was never revoked. Will this influence jobs in the future. Thinking about applying for an insurance license. This disaster just seems to stop me from many job opportunities.
    -Finger prints were taken
-Attorney said it would be off my record in 7 years
-Will all this change my chances for becoming bondable?

    Hello b:

You're bondable now. That doesn't mean every insurance company will bond you, but I'll bet some will...

Uhhh, your attorney is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG... Negative items on your CREDIT REPORT come off after 7 years... A criminal record lasts FOREVER! How did he not know that?

The drivers license records are only checked back to 7 years by any company or place I know, does not mean it is off, only means if they do a DMV it will not show up on the drivers record.

But a DUI is also a criminal offense and will show up on your NCIC report ( national criminal records check procedure used by all police and all formal background checks)
It never goes off that unless you go back to have it explunged.

Also if it is picked up on private search firms who do background checks, they never ever delete things from their records.

I deleted the comment by scwaster because it was in comment form and could not be rated ( since it was very wrong also)
