    01 Honda Civic Battery problem?
When I start my car nothing happens. The lights won't work, the horn won't sound, the automatic locks don't even work. I had a friend jump it; it started right up, however the CD player read "CODE" and after I pressed buttons "error" and whne I turned it off, the clock would not light. Drove home, parked, shut car off. Tried to restart, same situation, lights don't work, engine doesn't even try to turn, etc. Do I need a new battery or is something wrong with the car's computer?

You simply need a new battery. Try to get the vendor to charge the battery, prior to installation. Most new batteries need to be charged. This will help prevent burning out the alternator's voltage regulator, since alternators are maintainers, not chargers. Then, enter your radio code and you should be fine.

Here are some recommended preventive maintenance items for your Civic:

Be sure to regularly change the transmission fluid. A well-maintained Civic will go over 300,000 miles.

Ok, this shouldn't be too difficult for someone that knows a bit about cars. My door was left open with the seatbelt in it and drained my battery almost fully. My alarm still worked and I had lights but when I went to start it, the starter would just turn over but wouldn't fire. I have a...
