Is there such a thing as over ovulation.I know that a women ovulate 14 days nor so before there next cycle and Im one of the ones that see and knows when I ovulate.Last month I ovulated and on the 29th I ovulated again and my cycle came on jan 5th and stayed its normal 5 days and 2 days later I ovulated again and in the next week or so I know Im suppose to ovulate again . I was going to wait and see if it did the samething next month before I made a Dr's appt,but it's really bothers me

How are you determining that you are ovulating at those times? It would be extremely unusual to ovulate more than once in a cycle that far apart. When a second ovulation does occur, it is most often within a very short period... hence one reason for fraternal twins. Even with the use of fertility drugs, a multiple ovulation occurs in a single time frame.

It may be that you are noticing changes in cervical mucus that are similar to the fertile mucus associated with ovulation. This type of mucus can occur at different times in a cycle for some women. Noticing this type of mucus, when it is most abundant, lets you know your body is preparing for ovulation to occur shortly after, but it does not guarantee that ovulation will occur.

It is important to note that while most women likely ovulate around 12-16 days before their next period is due on a consistent basis, many others do not. Some women will naturally ovulate sooner and some later and once in awhile, though it's not common, you may ovulate off from your own norm. If you have a short cycle, or an irregular cycle, you could in essence ovulate twice in one month, but it would be from two different cycles.
