80's cartoon about fireflies

I remember a show about little firefly bugs. Winter was coming and an evil bear (I think) was going to steal their food or home.
The bugs found a doll and turned her into an angel or fairy to scare off the bear.

In the show there was also an old wise owl and a watch that counted down the season.

Anybody remember this show?

I believe its was in the 80's, but could be early 90's. It was a cartoon of animals that lived in a tree in the middle of a park (I think). They wore shirts with numbers (or maybe even the alphabet) on them. Anybody know the show I'm talking about?
