Florida real estate laws about leasing a home that is now a short sale
Just moved into a house with a year lease through the owner and have now been informed that the house is a short sale. What are my rights as a tenant and if the home is purchased will my lease be honored

If it is bought though a short sale, yes the lease has to be honored.

There is nothing wrong about selling your home when it is leased. The buyer will have to be informed the home is leased, and the bank will have to agree to the short sale. ( it can take months for a bank to agree)
