Honeywell RTH 7600 keeps fan motor running
I bought a Honeywell RTH7600 programmable t-stat to hopefully regulate my heat consuption & lower electric bill. Since installing and programming t-stat, once the temperature is reached (70 deg) it seems like the heating coil will come on and off (I feel warm & room temp air from vents) but the fan keeps running the entire time. I set the fan to Auto & when the program reaches a cooler setting it will go off. I called the Honeywell help line and they said the t-stat reads fractions of a degree and will keep the system running to maintain the temperature. I have an electric heat system (inside) with air conditioning (outside compressor unit). My old mercury type thermostat didn't keep the fan running like this new digital one and I've scoured the help forums looking for a solution. Can you help?
