What are my rights as a tenant
I have just moved out of a house in the UK and am trying to receive my deposit back from my landlord who is unhappy with the state of the house. The house is immaculate and has been cleaned by myself and two others however the landlord is now saying that he had to get professional cleaners in and is trying to charge us 150 from our deposit. Is he allowed to do this or should he have given us notice to find an alternative cleaners at a lesser cost?
