95 honda civic brake lights won't turn on
I have a 1995 honda civic dx and I noticed that my tail lights won't turning on when I press the brake but they work with the running lights. I checked the brake switch and its connected and I adjusted it and it still wouldn't turn on I checked myfuse box and the fuse box diagram is not the correct one for the car. Please help. Tanks in advance

I have seen many cars with connected brake switches and a bad brake switch. Disconnect the 2 wires on the switch and connect them together. Brake lights? Need a new switch. If not, you have a broken or disconnected wire or a bad fuse.

The switch is new sorry I probably should have told you. But I bought the brake switch that was made for the 95 civic with cruise control and mines doesn't have cruise control but its almost the same switch so I installed it and it worked fine for about 5 months also a pices of the connector is broken but it still has good connection. Do you think you can post a diagram of the fuse box cause like I said the one I have is not the one for the car

. Just test all under dash and under hood fuses with a test light or multimeter:

. Test switch's continuity with the test light or multimeter.

. Examine the connector very carefully.

    Shouldn't take long.

I have no idea what your fuse box looks like. I still think you have a connection problem at the switch.

I checked all the fuses none of witch are blown I do not have a test light or multimeter anymore but I am planning on buying one today. Because I took out all the fuses and put them in as the diagram told me the car started to over heat due to the fan relay not kicking in so I got a diagam and did the fuse box over and is working perfectly but the brakes still won't light up although when I turn my head lights on the brake lights turn on I guesse you would call that the running lights so I guesse the fuses are OK its just the switch or the connector. Rite?

Very likely. A multimeter should allow you to pinpoint the problem in no time.
