Can I fight now for a judgement that was granted against me 17 years ago?
It was a car accident the insurance company believed I was in. I was not in any car accident. I asked for the police report on the accident, it does not have my name on it or my DOB or my ID number; but have my formal address. Judgement was granted based on my address. This was 17 years ago. They have been taking my tax refund for many years now. I have repeated told them I was not in any accident. I asked for the owner of the car that was in the accident, I was told the name of the owner of the car they said I was driving, it was not my address and I did not know or have any association with the said person. I asked, if I could speak to the owner of the car, I was told they could not find her and later told me that she was dead. This is very unjustice and I need help. Thanks

I am amazed that you have let this go on for 17 years! You should speak to an attorney to see what your options are, but it may be quite difficult to fight the judgment since you have long ago missed any deadlines for appeal.
