    R-22 compidibility issue
Can any other type AC unit be installed with a drained, flushed, and evacuated EXISTING R-22 evaporator coil? Condenser units were stolen this week and we don't want to replace the entire systems if we can use some of the existing equipment.

Unfortunately there is only 1 alternative but it requires a system built for r-22. The new systems (r-410a) are not compatible with r-22 coils due to the increased pressures, unless the indoor coil is marked as R-22/R410A. If that mark is on the coil then you won't need a new indoor coil.
