Female dog leaking brown fluid
Today (2-8-11) I noticed my 6 year old female dog is leaking brown fluid and keeps licking her vaginal area. Is thi serious? Should I take her to the vet in the morning?

Its probably a UTI
Is she fixed? If not, her heat cycle could be coming and with discolored discharge it could mean infection of the uterus. Have you noticed an oder coming form your dog? Any type of infection or pus in the uterus is going to smell.
Definitely take her in. It could be nothing, or it could be a lot.
Good luck

She is not fixed I noticed no unusual odor coming from her. There is no puss discharge. So its probably either a UTI or her heat cycle? I might still take her to the vet in the morning.

Definitely take her in! At 6 years of age, her heat cycle should be very normal. It could very well be an infection inside.
Hope it's a false alarm!

Ok! I will be sure in the morning to take her! I hope it's a false alarm! This is either the 1st or second time this has happened. She has had 1 puppy when she was a little over a year old.

I have a dog that was having the same symptoms that started about 2 years ago. We have a 7yr old female Great Pyrenees that the vet thought had a UTI until after months of taking strong antibiotics and various tests with no relief. Turned out to be canine incontinance which is treatable with medication. Not saying that this is the same case as your situation, I'm only offering additional possibilities.
Just as Lucky098 said, bring her to the vet! Good Luck!

Also, if your not planning on breeding her anymore, you may want to consider having her fixed. Spayed/Neutered dogs and cats are overall healthier and are less aggressive than those that are intact, and usually live longer as well. ;)

My dog is 1 year and 6 months. She has the brown discharge no fowel smell or pus. Could it be the start of her cycle?

It could be!
If you are concerned, talk to your vet. Internal problems are not anything to mess around with.
Also, if you want individual answers, posting your own thread works wonders.
