My Oreo has stopped eating completely. Tried different dog foods etc he is not at all eating not even drinking water and milk. Checked with Vet . He gave him deworming injections but evem after that he has not started eating . If he eats its like one or two handfulls that's all.

His urine is sligthly yellow and stool is on the softer side.

Please suggest :( I checked with Vet again he has not givemn some tablets but has not done any test.

Will it be better to check by keeping Oreo off food and also doing his tests before starting the medicines.

I am a firm believer that a healthy dog will not starve himself, so if your dog is not eating for over 24-48 hours, I think you need to get a second opinion from another vet. Severe parasite infections can be the cause of loss of appetite, but there are also lots of many other possibilities. Is he up to date with vaccines? How many times has Oreo been de-wormed now? I am not very familiar with the de-wormer injection, usually dogs get a drops or a pill form. Did the vet mention if Oreo had coccidia or giardia?

In the mean time I would take her temperature, the normal temperature of a healthy dog may range from 99 F to 102.5F (37.2 C–39.2 C). If her temp is normal, I would make a bland meal of boiled burger, you could even try boiled chicken and rice, offer small amounts, but on a more often schedule. Make sure he has plenty of water and access to it 24/7. It's also important to make sure you are giving him fresh water at least once a day, but twice preferably.

If his temp is high, do not offer any food, and contact your vet asap. If his temp is low, then warm his water to body temp and offer him a blanket to cuddle up with.

None of us here can diagnose your pup, we can offer suggestions, but there is nothing more that we can offer besides a suggestion.

Has the vet checked to make sure he hasn't eaten anything that might be caught in his digestive tract or caused damage? Dobermans will chew on anything they can get their teeth on.

Have they carefully checked his teeth? Have they all come in correctly?

Feed some yogart! The yogurt will help move things along. He might be feeling a bit constipated. Yogurt will also help with the soft stool

Stoft stool and strong urine is the result of not eating or drinking.

Don't change foods on your dog. If he is not feeling well, changing his food will only make him feel worse. Put him back on the food you wish to feed. Maybe add some canned food.

Dogs don't drink milk. If you have been giving your dog milk, that may be the reason why he is sick. Dogs are lactose intolerant. Milk WILL hurt them.

Try the canned food. Dogs don't eat unless it smells good. Maybe you just need to get extra smelly food in order for him to want to eat. You can also warm up the kibble. The oils will be released and it should smell extra yummy for him and may entice him to eat.

Worse case scenario, you may have to force feed him. You can also syringe liquids into his mouth. If you insert the syringe behind the canine, he will have no choice but to swallow. If you have to force feed the liquids, do it with gatoraide or water mixed with pedialyte.

Definitely go back to the vet and discuss your concern with him not eating. Worming shouldn't give a negative impact on the dogs digestive system. Try to remember if there is anything that he could have gotten into, if he ate a toy, something outside or even drank something icky (dirty water). Did you feed him any table scraps? Table scraps will send dogs into a tail spin and they Won't feel good for quite some time.
