    To file a 1098t, do I have to have a w2?
    I haven't worked all year but was a full time student. I have receieved my 1098T form and was wondering if I am able to file without having my W2? Please help me!

    If you are over 25, then you can file and claim the American Opportunity Credit for the $1,000 refundable tax credit.

    If you are a dependent, your parents can claim the credit.
