A 18in. X 18in. Square tile costs $1.89. Jasper is going to tile a floor that measures 9 feet by 30 feet. Set up proportions to determine the number of tiles needed to cover the floor and the total cost of the tiles.

    1 ft = 12 in

    9 ft = 108 in
    30 ft = 360 in

Find the number of tiles that can be put along 108 in, then along 360 in.

If there are so many tiles along the length and the breadth, how many tiles are there in all?

    Then, 1 tile costs $1.89
How much would cost all the tiles?
