    NJ state tax, is $16500 in 403k subject to tax?
    NJ state wages include the $16500 in 403k pension fund I paid. Why that pension is subject to NJ state tax? While not subject to Fed tax?

    Because NJ does NOT allow for the funding of 403B with pre-tax dollars.
