Using a wireless network with a second computer.
I want to be able to use my home wireless network with my old PC in another area of the house. Unlike my apple laptop which auto finds the networks and then asks you to type in the protected password my old PC doesn't find any networks to join. How do I do this. The old PC originally was connected to the linksys by cisco device and served as the base unit for the wireless network in my home. I looked on my network connections and cannot find any place that asks me to join a network if it exists.

Windows vista. If you mean the linksys, it was connected to the desktop.

Most desktops do not come with a wireless adapter. If yours was wired into the router, then its unlikely it has one. You will need to purchase one.
