    Refusal of paternity testing
I have a 7 yr old daughter that my husband has put his name on the birth certificate. Although he knows that she may not be his, he has accepted her. Now the other possible father has gotten out of prison, is a sexual preditor, and is a POS. My kids do not know him, and id prefer they don't know him. He has filed a suit against me and we have been assigned a court date to go in front of a judge for a paternity hearing. I have letters from him stating that he doesn't want anything to do with the kids.. (two in question) and he really is crazy. He is also wanting visitation/ custody. Although I know he won't get the custody, I don't want him visiting with him. What can I do... I can't afford an attorny either and can't get legal aid (not enough sources at this time)

You go to Court (these proceedings are user friendly) and see what he has to say. Some Courts will appoint an Attorney for you if things get complicated.

A lie on a birth certificate can be a felony so I trust that your husband thought the child was his when he signed? In some States the husband is considered to be the father by virtue of the marriage, whether he is the biological father.

Was he a sexual predator when you had the children with him?
