    Pay into a 401k now for 2010 deduction
    I made more money then I realized and I have to pay about... about 6,000 or so to the fed.. I have a 401k at work but did not put any there got 2010... is it to late to put money in there now... for the year 2010... ths... richard

    401K money is put in pre-tax. That means it comes out of your paycheck... since you've already gotten all of your 2010 paychecks... its a bit late for that. Anything you have withheld from your current paychecks are for this years 401K contributions.

    Tks... I made to much for a I R A... any other way to hide... or niot hide... but defer taxs on about 20,000
    I have unenployment 15,000 for me and 4,000 for the wife and a small pension that I have to pay on...
