    Partial root canal pain?
I just had a root canal done and because it still had inflammation left he told me to come back in a week and he would finish the rest, and put a temp filling on it.. is it normal to feel some pain behind that.. or is it because he had to inject so much anesthesia to get me to numb up.. because I had to come back is the nerve still there?

Yes, it's common to feel pain many hours after the anesthesia wears off, if killing of the nerves isn't complete yet.

He said that there will be pain for about 2 days and...

Several years ago I had a root canal and a cap on one of my lower teeth. The tooth and the area around it have been painful for at least 2 years. One dentist said that all root canals are not the same. I image that was the most he could say without breaking some kind of code. The next dentist...

Pain where I had a root canal [ 5 Answers ]

Hi, I had a root canal a few months ago (the pain before I got the crown was SOOO horrible I don't even like to think about it. Getting a root canal done was cake compared to the pain beforehand). It now feels like the pain is "coming back" to that exact tooth even though I had a root canal...
