    95 civic not moving out of park, shift release solenoid not is activating
    My 95 honda civic is not moving out of the park position,the shift release solenoid or switch is not activating when the brakes is applied, there is no current going to the shift release solenoid, what should I do?

I'm having a hard time getting my car to shift out of park when I start it. I have to push the brake pedal as hard/far as I can. I have a 1996 mustang (automatic). I'm like everyone, I can't afford to leave my car at a garage while they figure out what is wrong. Does anyone have any idea?

I believe I installed the Brake Light Switch properly; however when I touch the brake pedal I get no brake lights at all. I still can't get the shifter out of park also. I got a spark when I tried to splice together the wires for the new switch I installed; so tomorrow I intend to check my fuses....
