    My boyfriend died a year and a half ago.
    My boyfriend died a year and a half ago. When meeting people for the first time I don't know how to refer to him if it comes up. I don't want to say my ex boyfriend. What do I say?

    One possibility is: my late boyfriend (similar to "my late husband").
