    Trane XE 80 blower problem
Have 15 year old Trane XE80. Last couple of days, started making horrible noise when starting up. Looked at and blower fan is trying to turn, but not ever getting started. Electric motor is hot to touch. Looks like I need a new blower motor? Or could it just be the motor capacitor?

I'd start with the capacitor first, hopefully a cheap fix.

You can remove the capacitor and have it tested at the hvac company your dealing with. If the capacitor checks out good it may be time to buy a motor.
