I think you should consult this refrigerator company's technical staff.
Generally speaking, there is a consultation phone on Refrigerator product manual,

As you know now, you should never put a refrigerator on its back or side. There are two reasons for this. The first is that the compressor has oil in it. If you lay it over the oil can run out of the compressor and into the refrigerant lines. Because these lines make many twist and turns there may be low spots where the oil can settle and when you set it back up it cannot run back down to the compressor. The second reason is that the compressor sits on springs. What you see is not the compressor but the can in which the compressor sits. The actual compressor sits on or is suspended by springs inside this can. Turning the refrigerator on its side or back can break these springs.

With all that said it sounds like you are all right. If the freezer is operating, the compressor is functioning. You only have one compressor. The freezer is cooled and then cold air is circulated from the freezer compartment to the refrigerator to cool that compartment.

Check to make sure that vents are not blocked (possibly by food packages) that would prevent air circulation to the refrigerator compartment. There may or may not be fans to circulate the air between the compartments.
