    Reporting requirement for legal settlement.
    I am a small Corporation who has paid a settlement to another Corporation as part of an Out of Court Settlement. This is not employment related but rather a settlement for business that was considered "stolen" or otained through hiring an ex-employee of the other company. Do I need to report this settlement on a 1099 or other form. It was paid directly to the other Corporation.
