Hello everyone and a special wish to all you want to be mommies!

I am two days late for my period. I started spotting two days before my period was due and am still spotting two days later. It mixes between a reddish and brown color but ONLY when I wipe... Woke up this morning feeling very sick to my stomach with cramps and had diarrhea. Im very tired but not sleeping well and sleep has never been a problem! Breasts are sore... I don't want to take a test just yet because I've been let down before but just have such a good feeling... intuition maybe? However, just curious if the spotting is normal! Yes, spotting is normal. After the fertilized egg moves into the uterus it implants in the uterine lining. Progesterone, released by the corpus luteum in the follicle, causes the lining of the uterus to thicken and engorge with blood in hopes of a fertilized egg. There can be a touch of spotting after implantation.

It can be normal for some women in early pregnancy. Maybe give it another week and see what happens. Your period may be off this cycle, but if still no normal period, and your other possible symptoms continue, try a test.
