    Closing cost on home purchase
    Hi, my name is skol supunpong and am about to purchase a home in Austin, Tx. The price of the house is $329,000 and I am going to pay by cash. My concern is about the closing cost. My question is that when I purchase the house with cash, do I have to pay this cost or not at all? I would appreciate for your answers. Thank you, Skol

    I mean when I purchase a home, do I have to pay a survey fee, reprisal fee, recording fee and so on.

    Some of them, yes. Some of them, no.

    It depends on exactly which fees you mean. The ones imposed by the bank, no. The ones imposed by the Government (recording fees, for example), yes. Title insurance (which I recommend to protect yourself), yes.
