    Can I file taxes on kids that are in a different state?
    I moved out of state, but my kids are still there with their father. It is my year to claim them. Can I claim them in a different state?

    Yes, you CAN claim them if there is a written agreement or it is in a divorce decree that you have the right to their dependency exemptions.

    All you need is their names and SSNs.
