Need help finding Date and possibly a price on an Old Brother Sewing Machine!
I have a Brother Sewing Machine Model 230 Galaxie. On the Motor is imprinted 491667 j-ro. It was Made in japan. The serial number is BZ 730003 and what looked like a J- then A1. It is a metal sewing machine and very heavy. When I bought it, it was in a sewing cabinet and still is. Also I looked on the very bottom of it and it said Brother J-01. If anyone could help me find out what year model this sewing machine is and a price I would greatly appreciate it. I plan on selling it since I no longer have time to sew, but wouldn't want to sell it for an outragious or really below its price. Everything on it works fine. I appreciate anyone's help.

Finding date on sewing machine and it's worth

I have a Singer sewing machine. It has 4 drawers 2 on each side, a foot operated iron base and the machine folds down into the top. The serial # is H632340. I was wondering where the date might be located and how much it could be worth.
