    Kids of all age go into Juv Detention, which is basically a kiddy jail in many places.

    But in Georgia if you were changed with crime as a adult you will go to jail and prison, I know Georgia even has a special prison for youthful offenders, I know some that are 16 and I know kids as young as 15 that have been held in jail before

    We have a 16 year old in adult jail awaiting trial for murder in my neck 'o' the woods.

    We have a 9 year old in juvie right now. I don't think there's a minimum age.
