    My dog is 13,had ear infection so vet gave a course of Aurizon eardrops.gone deaf?
    Will his hearing return?

    The loss of hearing may not have been due to ear infection, but old age. Same as in humans when we get older. These things happen, and they happen to dogs too. I can't say for sure if hearing will return or not, but your dog can learn to function quite well without it. Don't forget, they have benefits we do not.

    I know,it is just that it has happened very very quickly if that's the case as he was fine a couple of weeks ago.

    My dog who is 5 also had Aurizon for an ear infection, it cleared up but like your dog she went deaf.

    It was quite sudden and very scary, but after about 1 month it slowly started coming back and she is fine now.

    So try not to worry as it will return.
