    Is it a hipaa violation for your boss to ask hr why you are out on disability
    I went out on disability because my boss constantly harasses me and stalks me. I suffer from anxiety attacks, and depression. I also have ADD and OCD, however, intelligence testing confirmed I am extremely smart. My boss personally hates me and makes my life a living hell so I went on disability for three months. She called HR and asked what my disability was. HR called me to tell me if she calls, do not tell her anything. She is no privy to that information.q

    So where is the violation? Your boss can ask you questions, you can refuse to answer. HIPAA doesn't even enter into this.
