    Will I have to pay child support for my future wife if her daughter decides to leave?
    Me and my fiancé are planning to get married soon, she has a daughter that's about 7 years old, her father is currently under child support. The little girl loves going to her fathers house and spending time there. WIll I have to pay child support ( not if, but when) she decides she doesn't want to live with us any more? I am the possible future stepfather, I live in Ca.

    The mother may be required to pay support if primary custody changes. As a step father you have no responsibility if she is not living with you.
