    Foot lock tub drain
Hi Myra, I saw your post from Oct. 15, 2006 re: the screw you found after removing the top of your foot lock tub drain. Sounds like I have a similar drain stop and was wondering how you were able to proceed after hearing from Speedball1.
    Any reply would be appreciated.
    Thanks, Thomas

    Hi Thosrose...

I doubt Myra will pop in any time too quickly, but let's see if I can help, OK?

Get a large flat screwdriver and force the brass bolt... it should come out without much coaxing.

I'm confident that you won't break anything and even if you did (you won't) then the replacement parts are available at home depot, no problem, OK?

Go for it! Let me know how you make out...

The drain mechanism is still intact. It opperates up and down, but the down is not far enough down to seal the drain and prevent the water from draining. Like the others I have turned and turned the stopper, but it hasn't fixed the problem. What's next?
