    Divorce between immigrants
    Dear sir,

I and my husband have been in Toronto since 3rd of November,2010.We immigrated here as permanent residents(Visa B1)We got married in Turkey in 2006,we don't have any children and decided to immigrate to Canada. We went to a consultant for our immigration process and he told us to decide which of us would be the major applicant.I am as educated as my husband but we decided on him because he can speak English and French perfectly. We've been here for 3 months but he couldn't find a relevant job.Since he is a green card holder from the USA,he decided to move there without me.We got our PR,SIN,OHIP cards here.My question is:
What happens if we decide to get divorce?(On the immigration papers which they had given us at the airport, his family status:1 my family status:2)
Does it effect my immigration status because on my PR card I am holding my husband's surname?
Do I have to sustain this problem marriage until I get the Canadian itizenship?
    Thanks for your help
