1993 honda accord wagon losing coolant
1993 honda accord wagon 2.2 liter. Loses coolant when my wife runs her mail route. Temperature gauge goes up when she stops but goes back to normal when running. Does not lose fluid under normal driving only on stop and go mail route. Usually takes 1-2 quarts to fill it. This condition has been going on for over a year. Don't see coolant in oil or smell it burning.

Use a pressure tester, if needed, to locate the leak. Verify that the radiator fan is working properly. Check the fit of the shroud around the radiator. The radiator cap may be bad, where coolant can be discharged into the overflow tank but not sucked back into the radiator as it cools. These caps have two valves inside.
