    I'm laid off, I have no insurance, and I need glasses
    I have been laid off work, I have no insurance, and I need glasses what can I do?

    If the glasses are only for reading, then buy them at the drug store for very little, otherwise, I don't know what to suggest unless you beg on the street to get money to buy them.

    Call the Lions Club. If you don't know or can't get a number, call the public library's reference desk for one or call an optometrist in your area for a number.

    Contact your local lions club and they should be able to set you up with an exam and glasses. They have done this for me several times in the past yeaars
