This is the second year someone claimed my kids on there tax return!
O.k. last year I tried to efile and it was rejected.I than called the IRS and they told me I had to send in a paper return. When I called back a few months later & they said they never received my return.I then sent it again and my tax return went through and the money was direct deposited into my account within a month. All that was done in Dec.2010.Now,a month later I efiled my return and it came back rejected again. What's going on!

You'll have to do the same process again. Is there anyone else in your child's life who might be doing this? Not knowing your situation - I can only guess that perhaps you are a single parent and the other parent is trying to claim your child as a dependent? Or perhaps you have a relative who helps with expenses and therefore feels entitled to claim your child? Or maybe it's just some random thing where someone else keeps using the wrong social security number on their tax return? Unfortunately the IRS will not tell you who is doing this, so you'll just have to keep doing what you're doing and hope the IRS gets to the other party and puts an end to it.
