No, he is biracial in Canyon, TX. Her parents (white)controlled the whole pregnancy and didn't allow him to be on the birth certificate. There has never been a problem as although not together they have been on pretty good terms. He has been helping whenever able with bills and childcare, but recently she became involved with a new man. They are now engaged. He hasn't seen his son since before Christmas. She brought him over this weekend but found out he had a girlfriend there. Flipped out about a half hour after she'd left him and brought the police back to pick up the child. She also took all his pictures of the baby at his house when she left and the police let her? He has no money to get a lawyer. Is there anything he can do?

1 File for paternity establishment.
2 Get court order about visitation.

He made the mistake of allowing her parents to bully him and not exercise his rights. He has the rights of ANY father, but he has to go to court to enforce them. He has to have a court declare him the legal father based on the results of a paternity test and he has to get the court to setup a visitation schedule.

The mother will probably counter file with a petition for child support.

P.S. The fact that the child is bi-racial has no legal bearing, so I suggest you not refer to it in any court proceeding.
