    Fan cuts on and off
    What causes the fan cut on and off only stays on for a few seconds it is a carrier unit

    If the system is real old you may have a weak fan/limit control. If it's a newer system the blower will run if a limit switch is open--- It should give you a blinking light on the control board to let you know what's wrong.
