    What happens when you are 2 yrs behind on taxes
    I am 2 years behind on my taxes will they sell the hous and if they don't get what I own on it will I have to pay it

    Have you discussed your situation with them? Made an effort to pay what you owe? Usually they will garnish your wages for settlement before taking any other option. How much do you owe?

    The OP has simply NOT given us enough information to post a cogent answer.

    We are now even sure he OWES any taxes. He may just NOT have filed for 2008 and 2009, and he MAY be eligible for refunds.

    I agree that garnishment of wages comes before the forced sale of a home, but the IRS WILL put a lien on the house for back taxes owed as a matter of routine.
