Purchased a car... owner not sending title?
We are a car dealership in tampa fl that exports cars over seas. We bought a vehichle from someone in Oregon... We paid for it and had the vehichle picked up. The problem is they guy has not sent title and it is impossible to get a hold of him. It's been over three months. All we have is the bill of sale and the check issued to him for the vehichle which he cashed. What can we do?

If you don't have the title, then you don't own the car. Who knows - perhaps the guy you gave the money to doesn't have the title because he wasn't the owner. Maybe he stole it. Your business sounds like a good way for a thief to fence a stolen car.

Your alternative is to sue him to get your money back.
