    Tax Liability on House sale.
    My father died in 2007 and I sold the for 135,000 dollars and received a check less commission of 129,000 Paid of some credit card debt of my parents of 20,000 dollars what is my tax liability?

    Didn't this go through probate or did you inherit the home from the estate directly and then sold it. Your parents card debt should have been paid by the estate before it closed.
