Pit bull has very smelly farts!
His name is Buttermilk, and OMG this puppy has it bad! We haven't put him on any of the expensive food (science diet, eukanuba, etc) but we have changed around with some of the mid range foods, and pedigree seems to be the least offensive to his lil' belly. He doesn't get any table scraps, or human food at all for that matter. Any suggestions?

I am not near as strong a believer in the more expensive chows as some. Actually, I don't ''believe in'' much about dog care. I try to find techniques proven in large scale tests. If you do decide to try more chows, look for ones with different ingredients than the worse chows. Very wise of you avoid human food. Dog chows are carefully formulated to give the dog a complete and balanced diet. That is what is good for them, not yogurt, carrots, etc. that might improve our poor diets.

The worst of the passing of gas comes the next few hours after a meal. You can manipulate feeding time to when you won't be around to smell them. That worked very well with one dog that we fed at dinner time, and then he spent all evening polluting the family room. We moved his feeding time to bed time. By morning, he was much nicer to have around. That could lead to bowel movement problems. If he is in a crate, it would give him a better chance to make until morning.

There are charcoal tablets you could try. I never though they helped the dog I tried them on.

The bulldogs in general are noted for their gas attacks.
