    Birth control
I had a abortion back in may. I am 15 years old. I was on birth control pills but they ran out. I'm waiting to get them refilled. While they ran out I had unprotected sex. My boyfriend came in and weeks later I had my period a little late. Am I pregnant, and if not does that mean I can't have kids?

No it means you are not being responsible, Of course you can get pregnant, but do not every time you have sex.

    1. obviously you have little knowledge about getting pregnant, please check with a local clinic for a class on sex and birth control.

    2. Once you start with pills, they are not effective from the first day.

    3. Even when on birth control, they are not 100 pecent you can still become pregnant using birth control.

You may get pregnant the first time you have sex, or you may go a year before you do, it is a matter of timming.

If you have sex, pregnancy can be a possibility. See what happens when your next period is due. If it doesn't show, or is off from the norm, try a pregnancy test.

If it is negative, ideally you would rethink the situation and stop having sex until you are in a position to handle the possible consequences... that means, physically, emotionally, and financially.

If it is positive, you will once again have to make some decisions.

If you continue to engage in sex, your boyfriend should be using a condom every time you have sex. He is partly responsible, so he should share in keeping both of you protected from another unwanted pregnancy. If he truly cared about you and your well being, he would be doing just that. If he refuses, or makes excuses why he doesn't want to use one, he is thinking only of himself... give that some thought.

Best to wait until you have been on the pill again for a few weeks.

As Fr_Chuck said, no birth control is 100% effective, so to protect yourself even more, use both the pill and condoms.

U could be pregnant but a would wait till a week or 2 till after your period and then take a test... u made a mistake the first time round next time you have sex make sure your boyfriend puts a condom on every time you have sex... just until you get your birth control because you don't want to be going through that again good luck for in the future... start being responisable.. good luck
